Dried Chilli Ristra
These strings of Spanish Guindilla chillies are 30 inches long and made
up of 200 chillies, each one about 4 or 5 inches in length.
They are pretty
impressive to look at and each ristra weighs around 1kg. They will look
fantastic hanging in your kitchen, and will last for years - so long as
they don't get too damp.
These chillies are a medium-heat
chilli. Grind them to a powder for cooking, or tear into strips and
soak in hot water for 20 minutes or so, then mash or liquidise
to add to a recipe - good for adding to a fresh salsa or a pasta sauce.
Unlike the other chillies on this
page, these chillies are not grown on the farm; they are imported
from Spain.
