This is a video showing the workings of the AutoPot automatic watering system we re-sell. I used one of these this year in a greenhouse and it was fantastic - I grew an Apache F1 chilli plant in it and we grew like mad without any attention from me and on one tank full of water/liquid feed. The trick for chilli plants is to use 50% perlite (or grit) in the compost.
