Your Jalapeños look very nice indeed, very round and full looking. Nice one! ;)

Nice job! Thanks for all the photos on this project. If you'd like to write a 'how to' with the Aero Garden for chillies growers, I can post in on the site blog and tweet/facebook it on our sites.

Cheers, Steve.

Thanks for the kind words guys

Steve, sounds like a great idea. I wouldn't mind at all sharing my experience with other people. I'm off to Grange Over Sands for a few days this afternoon, but I'll have a look at getting something put together when I get back.

Hi,

I read this forum from page 1 till end, and I found it's interesting. Well I have a question, could you help newbie here :P

Do we turn on the light in that Aerograden all day night 24 x 7 in a month? If so, the light must be overheat isn't?
And do we need to spray water or something to make it like conventional gardening where we need water, ground / fertilizer?

Thx alot,
Cheer's Newbie

Hi Voquees. First off do you have an AeroGarden or is it something you are looking into buying?

To answer your questions

Q1: Do we turn on the light in that Aerograden all day night 24 x 7 in a month?
A: Everything about the AeroGarden is automated once you plant the seeds. The light is on a timer, and comes on for a set amount of time each day depending on what your growing. So on the chilli/pepper setting I believe the light comes on for 8 hours each day. It is advised to change the bulbs every 6 months.

Q2: And do we need to spray water or something to make it like conventional gardening where we need water, ground / fertilizer?
A: No need to spray water on the plants at all. Unless you get some little fruit flys on them. In which case you just do as you would normally to remove. The plants stay in the AeroGarden permanently. It is a soil free growing environment. Meaning the roots are suspended in the water bowl, and every 2 weeks you apply a liquid feed to the water bowl. The AeroGarden takes care of the rest by providing light and pumping the water/feed combo up and around the base of the plant.

Hope this answered your questions.

I am in the middle of putting together a little AeroGarden step by step PDF that Steve suggested to help people that are interested in setting one of these up. Just been a bit busy with the Christmas/New Year break and work the last few weeks.
