Hi Big J and Stuie...Thanks for the encouraging words and it sounds like some
good results all round..
I'm definately pleased with the rate of growth on the plants especially the Habs
and the Scorpions but would have even more of a sense of achievement if I'd have
propagated and brought them on using your methods...I was just fortunate enough
to have spare lighting etc this year and only had to bump up the glasshouse temp
by a few degrees...no-one could fail but get good results this way I'm sure..
Would love to see some pics of your plants and know what varieties they are..
Been feeding them with a nitrogen(N) biased fertiliser to encourage leaf growth
and will be switching to a Potassium(K) biased one to promote flowering and fruit
with Phospherous(P) remaining average for the roots...Nothing scientific in the
method...just simple trial and error..the way I like it
Came across some evidence of snails/slugs in the glasshouse yesterday...deployed
a ring of chemical defences inside...I didn't hang about and used blueys inside
as there's no risk of secondary kill being a contained environment..
Not sure what other pests and diseases Chillies are vulnerable too but I'll find
out soon enough I guess and also I'm curious as too how big each variety grows..
Look forwards to seeing some pics..
Cheers
