Unknown Chilli plants, please help! 1 year, 7 months ago #453

Hi am totaly new to Chilli growing but have just got back from Asia and after seeing and tasting all the delicious things you can do with them, I thought I would have a go at growing them.

About a month ago I bought a large number of Chilli plants from a garden centre that was closing down but none of them where labelled so I have no idea of what type of Chilli they are. I think the lady who sold them to me mentioned that the one in the blue pot was an Apache dwarf chilli, but doesn’t look like any pictures of Apache chillies that I have found. I think the other plant might be a Cheyenne but again I am not sure. The one that I think is a Cheyenne is a tiny little plant but has Chillis popping up on it all over and on the other plant the Chillis, as you can see by the second picture, are almost out growing the plant!

If anybody can help me identify them I would be really grateful.

Not a distinct variety - i.e. lots can look like this. The text below will at least help you identify which of the five domesticated species it is anyway.
