Chillies are very rewarding plants to grow - they look great and can produce large crops. This kit contains all you need to grow your own chillies from seed in our new glossy gift box. The kit contains:

1 x Propagator with lid
1 x pack 20 Coir compost plugs (peat-free) and 10 plant labels
1 x 2B marker pencil
1 x 100ml Chilli Focus liquid plant food
1 x full instructions
3 x packet of seeds (Twilight, Senor Serrano and Peruvian Purple - 60 seeds in all)

The propagator is designed to take 10 Coir compost plugs (peat-free) and can be re-filled once the seedlings are potted on. See the 'Images' tab above for a picture of the kit contents and an example of chilli seedlings growing away.

Apart from the pencil and the plant markers, all the components of this kit are available separately. Chilli seed germination and plant growth needs a temperature of at least  20c.  To increase the speed of germination and the growth-rate of seedlings during the colder months,  use a warming mat or thermostatic heating mat (see our other chilli growing products).

The One-Pot kit in new gift-box packaging.

All you need to grow your own chilli house plant - just add water and sunshine.  The terracotta-coloured plastic pot is supplied with peat-free compost, Chilli Focus liquid feed and ornamental chilli seeds (check kit contents below for details). We have also added a propagator lid to encourage germination.

This kit will guide you from seedling to mature fruiting plant with no pricking-out or transplanting and the chillies can then be used in your hot food recipes.

The Apache plant produces plenty of 1 inch-long green chillies ripening to bright red.

The ideal next-stage for our chilli propagation kits. Just plant the seedlings/small plants in the compost provided, fill the tank with water and liquid feed, and sit back!

Using the clever AutoPot automatic watering system as the base, we have added Coir compost, Perlite and liquid feed to provide the idea kit to grow-on chilli seedlings in a greenhouse or conservatory.

An ingenious gravity fed system that waters and feeds plants for weeks without the need for pumps, electricity, mains water supply or maintenance! Simply top up the 47 litre tank with water and liquid feed every few weeks. The cleverly designed 'Aquavalve' draws water from the reservoir into the tray section each time the plants have drunk up all that's there, providing excellent results. Ideal for chillies, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and much more. Kit comprises tank, 'Aquavalve', 2 x 8.5 litre pots, 57.5 x 27cm (22½ x 10½") tray, irrigation pipe and water filter.

This kit is the ideal next phase for growing-on chilli plants raised with our chilli growing kit or one-pot kit.

This kit includes compost (Coir block), Perlite and Chilli Focus plant food (300ml).

This kit is also guaranteed to water & feed any variety of plant unattended for a minimum of two weeks on one tank of water and feed.

This 2-Pot extension kit is simply connected to our Chilli Greenhouse kit by using the 6mm pipe and tee-connector included in the kit. Although any number of extension kits can be added to the main Chilli Greenhouse kit, try starting with no more than  two extension kits - If you find the 47Ltr tank is coping well in your growing environment, you can easily add more.

To fill the pots for chillies, we recommend a very well-drained mixture - if you buy one of our 7Ltr coir blocks and our small bag of Perlite, and mix together 50/50, that makes an idea compost with this system.

Pack of 20 Coir compost plugs (37mm, peat-free).

Just add warm water (about 40ml per pellet) and watch them grow! They rehydrate instantly and expand to about 60mm high by 40mm wide; the perfect home for a single chilli seed. These dry pellets are the right size to fit our propagator and growing kit.

No need for pricking-out; just transplant the entire pellet when potting-on.

Coir is a byproduct of the coconut industry.

This is the same propagator we sell for our Chilli Growing Kits - designed to take 10 Coir compost plugs. Add 400ml of warm water to rehydrate 10 coir plugs.  Place one or two seeds into each pellet and close the compost over them to cover.

Once the seedlings are big enough to pot-on, simply refill with new coir plugs and get another batch going.

Two of these fit on our warming mat, and 8 will fit on the thermostatic mat.

Once the seedlings have germinated, it is best to move the propagator to a sunny spot and remove the lid on hot days.

An electric warming mat that has room for two of our propagators. This roll-out mat is 25cm x 35cm and is designed to raise soil temperature by 5-10c above ambient. (Propagators in picture not included).

The 25x35cm warming mat is an ideal size for two of our propagators (30x60cm can warm 6 propagators and 40x65cm has room for 8) and to compliment the growing kit.

Warming mats help to speed-up germination of chilli seeds and are particularly useful when raising Habanero seeds. These warming mats are aslo idea for keeping potted-on chilli plants warm during the early spring to encourage rapid growth.

The product comes fitted with a UK three-pin fused plug and is ready to use.

When your seedlings need potting-on from Jiffy-7 plugs, a 1Ltr (14cm/6") pot is the ideal size. For some of the smaller chilli plant varieties, no further potting-on is necessary.  This pot is ideal for the window sill.

The saucer supplied is more like a drip tray: Chilli plants don't like to stand in water, so a shallow saucer reduces the chances of the roots becoming too wet.
