This is an amazingly beautiful shrub-like bush which can grow up to 1m tall. It is covered with small upright multi-coloured chillies with purple, orange yellow and red all showing at the same time. Very hot.

This is the one of the chillies grown in the 2006 BBC Gardeners World Chilli Trial after their visit to film us in the Autumn of 2005.

Now also available as a seedling (March to May)

Planted 8 seeds and 8 little plants grew. I had other varieties planted the same time but were less impressive than these. Kept producing fruit very fast after first ones were harvested and still producing 5 months later without any intervals. They grew to 1 meter in height but were very leggy and delicate. Need a lot of space for these and support them as soon as they are reaching for the sky.

This is a really stunning plant, very bushy and almost ornamental. I found them to be easy to grow and they're certainly prolific, each plant producing literally dozens of fruits and there are more flowers appearing all the time. The only negative for me was that it's not as hot as labelled - to me it's much milder than other SDCF 'hot' chillies - but it's a tasty chilli from a lovely plant.

Got bought a growing kit last year, but only planted them this year! Planted 20 seeds and every one has come out, first time I've ever grown anything so quite exciting to have it all happening! Got twilight and jalapeņos growing! Will definitely be ordering more seeds for next year!

Hi there,

just a quick Thank you for sending the seeds out so quickly! They arrived today and I'll be planting them later today; I am very excited about my chilli harvest later in the year!
On the same day I ordered seeds from you I also placed an order for other seeds from one of the big seeds/plants/gardening supplies websites...and was told to expect my order within 10-14 days...

Thanks again for a great choice of chilli seeds and excellent service!

Kind regards,
Nathalie Kersten

Mine are only seedlings so far, as i bought a chilli growing kit very late in the season! Didnt expect to get very good germination due to pretty poor weather conditions and low temperatures (even though they are kept inside), but have been very pleasantly surprised as every one of the 10 seeds i planted germinated! This could have been something to do with the overnight stays in my airing cupboard, and being sat behind my xbox during the day to keep them warm though. About to pot on tonight so we shal see if the success continues!

Great plant and very beautiful, starting off with purple fruits that turn yellow then red. Plenty of fruits, and fairly hot - not a scorcher though. Only downside - can be difficult to germinate, following instructions I only got about 15% germination, however the 3 plants I kept provided enough fruit to keep me supplied all summer.
