This is the most commonly grown Habanero and one of the easiest to grow. The fruits are up to 2.5cm x 4cm and are produced on a shrubby bush up to 70cm tall x 70cm wide. The fruits are ready to pick at around 100 days after the seedlings have been potted on, and the plant will continue cropping as long as suitable conditions are maintained. This is probably the most prolific habanero variety we have grown. The fruits are very hot - up to 350,000 Scoville units.

Contents: 20 seeds per packet

easy to grow but easy to confuse with the benign sweet pepper which I mistook this for! I spent last night with my hands burning like fire and had to wrap them in cold flannels after having covered my hands in cooling yogurt. Pain killers and about 7 hours finally saw my pain subside. Note to self to properly label my plants in future, and not chop them without wearing gloves.

I grew a couple of plants from seed last year, and both were productive. Most seeds germinated, and the first appeared in 5 days which is very good. The pods were hot with a lovely flavour. I kept the best plant, and at the start of January I pruned the stem to 12", removed all side branches, trimmed the roots to a 6" ball, and it is now covered in pods, many quite large, and with luck there will be ripe ones at the end of April. I hope to get a second crop later in the year.

**** SDCF Reply - Great work Leif, that's really early for Hab fruits.

Very pleased with the quality of these seeds, 100% germination! They have produced very large and healthy plants which look like they are going to produce heavy crops :)
