The Bhut Jolokia (A.k.a. Naga Jolokia or Ghost) was the first chilli to be measured at over 1 million Scoville units - the first of the 'super' chillies. At that heat rating, they are 4 times hotter than the average Habanero or Scotch Bonnet.

The Ancho Mulato is a mild and very popular Mexican chilli. The fruits are dried once fully ripe - a deep chocolate colour. This chilli is widely used in Mexican cooking to make mild and fruity flavoured sauces (mole). The dried fruits are about 2.5" wide and 4" long and heart-shaped.

Vermiculite is a sterile growing medium which can be used for directly sowing seeds into or as a small top layer on your usual seed compost. Vermiculite can also be added to potting on compost to improve aeration and uptake of nutrients.
Vermiculite is often used to help prevent "damping-off"; this is caused by a fungal infection which damages new seedling stems.
If you sow directly into vermiculite, due to it's sterile nature, you will need to provide liquid feed.

This is a very compact bush with small fiery chillies that mature from yellow to red. Ideal as a small pot plant. This is probably the quickest growing of the hot chillies we sell and a good choice for a kitchen window sill.
