Our Madagascar 70% dark chilli chocolate delivers a fruity, smooth and warming chocolate experience.
This fine chocolate was carefully selected, not only for its complex and delicate flavours but also its fair and sustainable credentials. The chocolate is freshly crafted from Forastero, Trinitario and Criollo cocoa beans, grown in the rainforests, which creates a sustainable haven for the endangered animals and other fauna and flora of Madagascar.
Unusually, the cocoa beans are then crafted into chocolate in their country of origin – this is recognised as a “Raise Trade” product, by making the product in Madagascar, rather than sending the ingredients to be processed in Europe, it means that a greater proportion of the finished cost is returned to the African Island. The Guardian featured this Madagascar chocolate in an article entitled, “The World’s fairest chocolate?”
Our new chilli chocolate is still handmade in small batches, here at the farm, but is packaged in our new luxury box.
Each box contains at least 100g of chocolate wafers.
