A classic, mild-heat, American/New Mexican chilli.
This plants has had many admirers in our show tunnel over the past few years. Purple leaves and purple to deep-red fruits about an inch long. This is a small plant (no more than 12" high normally) and is ideal for a windowsill.
Great tasting and odd-shaped variety from the Baccatum speicies - like the Aji Limon and Aji Red.
Demon Red is a small hot chilli plant that has been bred for growing in containers, indoors or outdoors, on the windowsill or patio.
The largest of New Mexican varieties, this chilli has pods up to 30cm long that weigh as much as 100g. Their size makes them a favourite for chilli rellenos. Plant 50cm high.
This is an amazingly beautiful shrub-like bush which can grow up to 1m tall. It is covered with small upright multi-coloured chillies with purple, orange yellow and red all showing at the same time. Very hot.
The famous Scotch Bonnet is named for its resemblance to a Tam o'shanter hat. The flavour is similar to other 'Habanero' types and the fruits are used to make hot sauces throughout the Caribbean.
Also known as the 'New Mexican Chilli,' this moderately hot fruit is deep green, turning red. Very smooth fruits, 18cm long and 4cm wide on tall (50cm), productive plants that offer good foliage cover for the fruit. Excellent for stuffing.
This large mild chilli is revered in Mexico and the USA and used extensively in Mexican-style cooking.
A dwarf ornamental chilli plant. Fruits are upright and 4cm long, and change from ivory-coloured to bright red.
This is a very attractive chilli plant that produces an abundance of chillies - ideal as a pot plant for indoors. The fruits provide a multi-colour display as they ripen.
