Ring of Fire is a hot cayenne type which is very quick to mature. We grow a lot of these on the farm and it is always the first hot chilli to ripen.
This is one of our favourite varieties - easy to grow, amazingly productive, early cropping and a well proportioned and attractive bush.
Bred by the New Mexico State University (NMSU) this New Mex Suave chilli is a mild/heatless habanero that allows you to taste the very fruity chinense flavour without the heat. It ripens to a red colour.
The Sandia is a New Mex variety introduced and refined by New Mexico state university.
The 2 - 3 ft high plants produce 15cm long fruits with mild/medium heat with medium to thick walls.
It is similar to the Anaheim and Big Jim New Mex chillies but a bit smaller and a bit hotter.
This is a traditional Mexican salsa chilli; they look like slender Jalapenos, but are a little hotter.
Super Chilli! What a great name! This compact plant produces an amazing crop of chillies.
Long cylindrical fruits, tapering to a point. Fruits ripen from yellow to red. Final size: 18cm long, 4cm wide. Great for grilling and usually used when yellow. Plant 40cm high.
This is the chilli used in the famous sauce of the same name. The plant grows into an upright bush to a height of about 1 metre. The small fruits (25mm long) start yellow and mature slowly to red.
This is the original wild Mexican chilli from which most modern chillies originate. It is notorious for being difficult to germinate, but we have not had a problem.
Extremely hot variety originally from Thailand. Plants become covered with 1-1/2 inch long peppers that are green at first but ripen to red.
