Serrano Chilli Seeds

Heat of Product : Medium

This is a traditional Mexican salsa chilli; they look like slender Jalapenos, but are a little hotter. The fruits grow on an upright, hairy and woody-stemmed plant that is hardier than most chilli varieties, making it a good choice for overwintering. The abundant fruits are up to 5 - 8cm long and reach full size in 75 days from potting on. The variety we sell produces longer fruits than the typical Serrano. Perfect for a greenhouse bed.

Heat: 20,000 Scoville heat units

Average contents 20 seeds.

Quite a mild chilli but probably twice as hot as a Jalapeno. Great service from South Devon chilli farm with very fast delivery.
Quick delivery. 100% germination.
I began later in the year than I should have, and harvested first green peppers in October.
Since I started late, I decided to keep 3 plants indoors in a cold room at 6-8 degs over winter. All doing well so far. Green ripened to red over Christmas. Very tasty. Quite hot.
Sturdy plants that suit a newbie like me.
