Covid-19 Situation and the effect on Delivery/Shipping

Our Farm Shop, Cafe, Plant Nursery and Show Tunnel are currently closed. We are, however, still taking orders in the Online Shop on our website and trade orders.

In addition to our home delivery service, whilst our farm shop remains closed, we have added a Click and Collect service. Place your order on the website, and select 'Collect from the farm' as the delivery option. You will receive an email when the order is in the Customer Collection box outside the farm shop door - usually orders placed on Sun - Thu, will be ready for collection the day after you place the order.  Orders can be collected from 9am to 4.00pm Mon - Fri - please drive through the staff/deliveries entrance if the customer gate is closed.

Delivery / Shipping Timings
We aim, but cannot guarantee, for orders to be shipped from the farm on the next working day after the order is placed; for example, orders received Monday to Thursday are shipped on the day after they are received but orders received Friday to Sunday are shipped on the following Monday. Occasionally, on quiet days we may ship orders on the same day that they are received. Plants and fresh chillies ordered on a Thursday may have delivery postponed until the following Monday to avoid weekend postal delays.
Orders shipped with DPD or DX courier are delivered the next working day after they are shipped and are tracked (Mon to Fri delivery days). 
Orders shipped with Royal Mail Parcel (TRACKED 48) are delivered within 2-3 days after they are shipped and are tracked (Mon to Sat delivery days).
Orders shipped with Royal Mail 1st Class Letter (UK) are delivered upto 7 working days after they are shipped and are NOT TRACKED (Mon to Sat delivery days).
Weekends and Bank Holidays: our shipping department is closed at weekends and on Bank holidays - orders will be shipped the next working day.
Delivery/Shipping Options
UK orders: Depending on the items that you have ordered, you can choose a delivery option from Royal Mail First Class post (seeds only), Royal Mail (Tracked 48) or a courier service (DX or DPD). Please note, both of the courier services (DX and DPD) are 24hour Monday to Friday services which require a signature on delivery. The DX courier may offer a Saturday delivery for an additional charge. Royal Mail (Tracked 48) is a Monday to Saturday service.
If your order weighs over 3kg then the DPD courier will be automatically selected as your delivery service and there will be no Royal Mail option. 
For UK-offshore: orders are shipped using a FedEx 2/3day service or DPD 2/4days (depending on country).
For Europe and Ireland: Unfortunately, orders to Europe and Ireland are on hold at the moment until we have more information on the new regulations post Brexit. Seed orders to Northern Ireland are also on hold due to new requirements for phytosanitary certification.
Rest of the World: Unfortunately, we are unable to ship to areas outside of Europe.  
Delivery/Shipping Costs
Our Royal Mail shipping costs for UK mainland addresses are currently: £2.00 for seed-only orders and £4.50 for all other orders. If your order weighs over 2Kg then "DPD signed-for service" is automatically selected and the shipping costs will increase to DPD delivery rates (typically, £5.99 for parcels up to 5kg with DPD Expresspack. For parcels over 5kg, the price increases on a sliding scale).
Shipping costs for non-UK mainland addresses are determined by weight and destination. 
The shipping costs will be finalised when you go to checkout or you can check them at the Basket stage.

Add the items to your Basket
Go to "View Basket"
At Shipping costs, Select "Calculate"
Enter "Country and County/Province" details
Select "Get Rates"
DPD is automatically selected for packages weighing over 2kg.
